BELLEVUE, WA – Saturday’s long-awaited victory in Palmer v. District of Columbia is “one more important step toward firearms freedom,” the Second Amendment Foundation said today after reviewing the ruling, which the District of Columbia now reportedly plans to appeal.

Scullin, Jr., reinforces our efforts in challenging burdensome concealed carry laws in several states.” FAIRFAX, Va. – Forty-five high school students from all over the United States have arrived in Washington, D.C. for this week’s 2014 NRA Youth Education Summit (Y.E.S.). The week-long expenses paid educational experience visits locations around the nation’s capital, teaching the significance of the American Constitution, the Bill of Rights, our federal government, and the importance of being active in civic affairs. Scheduled stops include the Capitol Building, Manassas National Battlefield Park, Marine Corps Base Quantico, the National Archives, the Newseum, a safe introduction to the shooting sports at NRA Headquarters, and more historic sites in the greater Washington, D.C. area. FAIRFAX, Va. – The National Rifle Association awarded a total of $16,000 in college scholarships to select attendees of the 2014 Youth Education Summit (Y.E.S.), the seven-day expenses paid educational experience in Washington, D.C. for rising high school juniors and seniors.
Held June 23 through June 29, this year’s forty-four attendees learned to be active and knowledgeable citizens by learning about the Constitution, Bill of Rights and the federal government during trips to the Capitol, Supreme Court, and National Archives. Students also visited NRA Headquarters, the National Museum of American History, Marine Corps Base Quantico, and several monuments and memorials in the Washington, D.C. area.
